We fly for food.
Hungry Departure was born from a simple idea - that Europe's most legendary dishes deserve more than a footnote in a holiday itinerary. So we built a site dedicated to flying somewhere purely to eat one thing, then coming home.
One city. One dish. One flight. We do the research; you do the eating. The whole point is the dish - everything else (the photos, the cobblestones, the second espresso) is a bonus.
How we make money
Our flight and tour links are affiliate links. If you book through them, we get a small commission at no extra cost to you. Any recommendations are from research only - we do not take any commission. If a pilgrimage doesn't deserve to be here, it's not here.
Cost of flights
Flight prices change all the time, and we'd rather not show you a cost that's out of date by the time you check or for a route that doesn't work for you. So instead, we'll leave that part to you. We're here to inspire you and show you the dishes worth flying for.
