What we collect
Hungry Departure is a content site. Browsing the pilgrimages, the map, or the city pages does not require an account. We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us — for example, your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter, or the name, email, and message you send through the contact form.
How we use it
Newsletter emails are used to send you new pilgrimages and occasional updates. Contact form submissions are used to reply to you. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Affiliate links
We use affiliate links to our flight search partners and GetYourGuide. If you book through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking those links sends you to the partner site, where their own privacy policies apply.
Security
The site is hosted on Lovable Cloud, which provides TLS in transit and managed infrastructure. Form submissions are validated before they reach our backend. We keep stored personal data to the minimum needed to run the newsletter and reply to messages.
We are a small team and cannot guarantee the absolute security of any online service. We do our best to keep things tight and to fix issues quickly when we learn about them.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. You can ask us to delete the personal data you've sent us — your email from the newsletter list, or a contact form message — by getting in touch.
